Description

This is a pre-order sale. The current estimate from Weta is April 2027. However, as many of you are aware, not a single pre-order estimate in the past five years has been on time. As such, please follow the Castle Kon Facebook page for updates on this and other pre-orders. Also, if any other seller claims to have this before Castle Kon (other than Weta directly), it is most likely out-of-date information. Castle Kon will receive its pre-ordered amount 3 – 5 days after our distributor gets them in stock from Weta and we ship within a week of receiving the items.

We are setting a $150+ FREE SHIPPING for US customers and discounted shipping for international folks with non refundable deposit with the remainder due March 31, 2027. If the item is shipped earlier, Castle Kon will email to pay earlier. If the ship date pushes out, we shall move the remainder pay date accordingly (or try to since the system does not always work sorry!)

*Non-refundable note: Castle Kon does not get refunded the PayPal / credit card fees when providing refunds. As such, we are moving to a credit transfer process. For example, if you purchase this item for deposit of $150, and desire a refund, we will cancel the pre-order and provide a $150 credit toward any other order with Castle Kon OR will provide a 95% refund ($142.00).

EXCLUSIVE GIFT FOR THE FIRST 1000 PIECES

Long before Rivendell was ever built, it was painted. This concept art first gave the hidden valley its form and its golden light, the vision from which the Rivendell would rise.

Now, from the original concept art of Paul Lasaine, the visual effects art director who helped bring Middle-earth to the screen for The Lord of the Rings, we present this limited edition art print.

Pre-order quickly to receive this exclusive gift with your Rivendell environment.

THE LAST HOMELY HOUSE, MADE ANEW

Fifteen years ago, we built a Rivendell environment that found a home with collectors all over the world. It went out of production a long since, but demand never faded. You kept asking, so we decided to bring it back: but better.

REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

The original molds were long past saving. We tried to create a 3D scan, hoping to carry the old work forward, but the details fell short. Rather than compromise, we started from scratch and set out to create the finest Rivendell we possibly could.

What followed was extensive research and patient exploration of modern manufacturing, testing every technique available to us. The result is larger and more faithful than anything we have attempted before. More of the surrounding mountains are here. The landscape and waterways follow the films more closely than ever, while the architectural detailing reaches a level of fidelity we believe is the most exact achievable at this scale.

This version also includes the courtyard where the Council of Elrond took place, the ground on which the Fellowship is formed, and the fate of the Ring is decided. This location has never before been physically realised within the wider Rivendell location, and great care was taken to ensure its accurate placement. On screen, the valley was never given one fixed layout; it changed from shot to shot to serve the story. To ground our version, we followed one of the early sweeping wide shots that reveals Rivendell in full.
