Description
PRE-ORDER NOTES PLEASE READ!
This is a pre-order sale. The current estimate from Weta is April 2026. However, as many of you are aware, not a single pre-order estimate in the past five years has been on time. As such, please follow the Castle Kon Facebook page for updates on this and other pre-orders. Also, if any other seller claims to have this before Castle Kon (other than Weta directly), it is most likely out-of-date information. Castle Kon will receive its pre-ordered amount 3 – 5 days after our distributor gets them in stock from Weta and we ship within a week of receiving the items.
We are setting a $100+ FREE SHIPPING for US customers and discounted shipping for international folks with non refundable deposit with the remainder due March 31, 2026. If the item is shipped earlier, Castle Kon will email to pay earlier. If the ship date pushes out, we shall move the remainder pay date accordingly (or try to since the system does not always work sorry!)
*Non-refundable note: Castle Kon does not get refunded the PayPal / credit card fees when providing refunds. As such, we are moving to a credit transfer process. For example, if you purchase this item for deposit of $100, and desire a refund, we will cancel the pre-order and provide a $100 credit toward any other order with Castle Kon OR will provide a 95% refund ($95.00).
In the twilight of the Shire, a golden glow may be glimpsed across the fields of Bywater. Warm light spills from latticed windows, while the scent of ale and woodsmoke drifts though the open air. Here lies the Green Dragon Inn, its hearth ever bright and its benches worn smooth by generations of hobbits. Within, tales are told, friendships kindled, and weary feet find rest beneath the low beams and thatched roof. It is a place both humble and hearty; a beacon of cheer and hobbit-hospitality.
The Green Dragon Inn is the result of many hands working with patience and skill to bring a corner of Hobbiton to life. Every stage of its creation reflects the careful attention to detail fans know us for, and that continues to define our craft.
Sculpting the world in miniature, where even the smallest feature carries weight, blades of grass and climbing ivy were placed by hand, while the thatching of the roof was carved strand by strand to capture the organic texture of straw. Working at such a scale requires an eye for balance, ensuring each detail enhances the character of the Inn while preserving its familiar silhouette. From there, the molding and casting process preserved every curve and crease, ensuring the sculpt endured in its final form.
In the painting booth, layers of tone and color were then applied, bringing warmth and life to stone and timber alike. Golden thatch, soft shading, and the deep greens of Bywater’s gardens create a palette that etches the Shire’s rustic charm into the finished piece.
From sculpting through to casting and paint, each step has been guided by a dedication to authenticity. The Green Dragon Inn emerges as both a celebration of Middle-earth and a testament to the quiet craft that makes it real.
