Tolkien’s Lore:
Seven Rings of Power were given to the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone. Forged in Eregion by Celebrimbor with the influence and knowledge of Sauron (disguised as Annatar), these rings were intended to corrupt the Dwarves as the Nine corrupted Men. However, the Dwarves proved far more resistant: the rings did not turn them into wraiths, nor could Sauron dominate their wills directly. Instead, they amplified the Dwarves’ natural greed for gold and treasure, helping them amass vast hoards while awakening dragons and stirring endless misfortune.
The rings granted increased longevity, skill in craftsmanship, and the ability to find and multiply wealth — but at the cost of insatiable avarice and conflict. By the end of the Third Age, most had been consumed by dragons or recovered by Sauron.
“Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone…” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
Adaptation Notes:
In Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings films, a Dwarven Ring of Power (often associated with Thrór or Thráin) appears in key scenes, notably when Gandalf discusses the history of the rings with the White Council. The design features a robust, masculine style with rich red tones and heavy Dwarven ornamentation that evokes ancient Khazad-dûm and Erebor. This Medievo replica faithfully captures that cinematic Dwarven aesthetic in a wearable form.
This ring represents unyielding strength, ancient Dwarven pride, and the dangerous lure of riches — an excellent piece for fans of Thorin, Durin’s Folk, or anyone drawn to the deep halls and mountain halls of Middle-earth.
